When a 10 ft pass is not covering ground fast enough, the Smucker 15 ft front bucket weed wiper adds width without giving up the loader-mounted setup. This 15 ft tractor weed wiper uses a 5 ft center section and two 5 ft folding wings, all mounted to your front bucket with the included brackets. It is pump fed, so herbicide reaches every sponge evenly as you wipe weeds that stand above your pasture or crop.
Why use a weed wiper instead of a broadcast sprayer?
A weed wiper puts herbicide only where the sponges touch. By setting the bar above the height of your desirable grass, clover or crop, you treat the taller weeds while the shorter plants below are left alone. That makes wipers a common choice for pasture weeds and for weeds that grow up through food plots and hay fields. Always read and follow the herbicide label, including any directions for wiper or wick application.
Folding wings on the 15 ft model
The feature that sets this model apart is its layout. The 15 ft width comes from a 5 ft center section and two 5 ft wings. According to Smucker, the wings can fold forward or backward depending on how you mount the tool bar. That gives you some choice in how the wiper sits on your bucket, and folded wings make the unit easier to move through gates and store between jobs.

- A 5' tool bar bracket and two 5' wings
- Six 30" sponge assemblies
- A 6-port manifold for the 15' Top Crop

Pump requirements for the 15 ft tractor weed wiper
Keep in mind that a sprayer is not included with this kit. With six sponge assemblies to keep wet, Smucker recommends a minimum 3 GPM pump for the 15 ft model. That is a higher flow than our 10 ft and smaller wipers call for, so check the rating on any pump you plan to use. You will supply the tank and pump and connect it to the 6-port manifold with the included tubing.
Setup and field tips
- Decide whether you want the wings folding forward or backward before you mount the tool bar to the bucket.
- Use the loader to set height so the sponges ride above your desirable plants.
- Prime all six sponges before your first pass so coverage is even across the full 15 ft.
- Keep a steady speed, and consider a second pass in the opposite direction on thick stands.
- Fold the wings for transport and rinse the system after use, following the herbicide label.
The complete parts breakdown is listed on the 15 ft front bucket weed wiper product page.
Choosing between 10, 15 and 20 ft
The 10 ft front bucket wiper uses a fixed tool bar and extension with four sponges and a 1.8 GPM minimum. The 15 ft model steps up to six sponges and folding wings. For the widest pass, the 20 ft front bucket wiper uses a 10 ft center with two 5 ft wings and eight sponges.
