Compact excavators are some of the most versatile machines on a property, and the Kubota U35 skid steer adapter makes them more so. This excavator to skid loader adapter fits the Kubota KX033-4, KX040, KX121-3, KX71, KX91-3 and U35, and lets your machine run implements built for a standard skid steer or loader through its Kubota quick attach.
What the adapter lets your compact excavator do
A skid loader adapter gives your excavator a skid steer style attachment face. With it installed, the large selection of skid steer implements on the market, from pallet forks to grapples and augers, can be used from your excavator's arm. If you already own skid steer attachments, or want to avoid buying excavator-specific versions of tools you use occasionally, an adapter can make your compact excavator more useful around the farm, job site or hunting property.

Tips for compact excavator owners
- Confirm the adapter is fully seated and locked in the Kubota quick attach before each use.
- Make sure every skid steer attachment is completely latched to the adapter plate before lifting or digging.
- On a compact machine, weight matters. The adapter adds approximately 229 lbs at the end of the arm, so factor that plus the attachment's weight into your work and follow your operator's manual.
- Choose attachments sized sensibly for a compact excavator and inspect the plate and mounting points regularly.
